Course Description:

In this series, Doug Lentz, discusses some of the myths and misconceptions about some of the most common barbell exercises performed for improving athletic performance. Additionally, viewers will gain a better understanding of how to coach specific exercises and identify how these exercises should be altered based on individual and anatomical differences.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover the differences in muscle activation and effectiveness based on the range of motion used during performance of exercises such as the squat, clean, and snatch.
  • Understand how to provide corrective feedback to athletes in order to enhance technique and proficiency in specific lifts.
  • Learn how to take an evidence-based approach to making decisions about which exercises should be selected to improve athletic performance.
