Douglas Lentz, CSCS, RSCC*E
Doug Lentz is the Director of Fitness and Wellness for Summit health in Chambersburg, PA. Since his graduation from Penn State University in 1981, Doug has trained professional, Olympic, collegiate, high school, and adolescent youth. From 1985-1989, Lentz was a center manager for Sports Physical Therapists, Inc., a sports medicine organization with over 40 centers in 11 states. While he was with SPT, Inc., the company provided strength and conditioning services for the Philadelphia 76’ers and the Philadelphia Flyers. In 1989, Doug opened Chambersburg Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Center. In 1997, Mr. Lentz sold his business to Summithealth. In his current role, Doug is responsible for all athlete program design and training. Doug assisted the Penn State University Women’s Tennis team with their strength and conditioning, speed, and agility needs from 2000-2005. He also served in a similar role with the Shippensburg University track team, working predominantly with the sprinters and weight event individuals. He currently oversees the strength and explosive movement training for Neely Spence, who currently runs professionally with the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project and is the top-ranked 5k runner in America.
