Mark Taysom MS NSCA-CSCS, ACSM-HFI Exercise Physiologist
Mark Taysom has been a coach for athletes, students, and Soldiers. Over the course of his career he has worked primarily with the Elite Sports community, including Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, Olympic Training Center, and other such organizations. He currently works in the Exercise and Wellness department as a Faculty Instructor at Chandler / Gilbert Community College in Chandler Arizona and author and operator of yokeandstone.com. This practical and classroom experience coupled with his years of formal education in Exercise Physiology has made Coach Mark a valuable asset to the students, athletes, and Soldiers he works with. Coach Mark is the original developer of the TAP program at Fort Carson, he is also helping to spearhead a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Concentration at Chandler / Gilbert Community College. He has published many articles and recently participated in the creation of the latest college text book (NSCA’s Essentials in Strength and Conditioning 5th Edition). He is a current competitor in the sport of Strongman and has held a Top Ten National Ranking for the last 5 years. He has also qualified and competed in the North American Strong Man World Championships, representing Team USA; in 2013, placing top 10 in the World.
